hay all,

Well I'm having a very odd problem. I'm trying to log into the blackboard accademic site for my new college. On a friend's computer, this went perfectly in firefox and in IE. Unfortunately mine caused all kinds of problems. In IE, it logs in but will only display the first frame on the page, nothing below it, no matter how much I refresh. Firefox refuses ot even let it log in. My pop-up blockers are disabled, javascript is enabled, I'm using IE9 and Firefox 6. I have no idea what could be wrong, since my friend's computer is using the same configuration and it fails completely. We're both using jaws 12.

Any help would be appreciated incredibly by my grade point average!

I have noticed through personal experience that blackboard seems to work much better with Mozilla Firefox. I'm not sure why it isn't working on your computer though. Have you tried updating to the latest version of FireFox, or reinstalling it to see if that allows you to access the site?

hi, when you get to Blackboard main page, where it ask for your log in details, under the login, you should find a link call browser checker, or under similar name. enter to that link or button or whatever your college/university has design to be, and a brand new window will appear. what it does is it go throu your system configgeration and let you know if you have any browser comparebility problem with Blackboard and a list of suggestion to minimize those errors.

i had similar issue before, and it soon be realize that my javascript is outdated or something, can't really remember now, but it was something to do with javascript.

Also, you might want to make an exception to enable pop block on Blackboard, in case, your lecturers or whoever choose to leave an announcement, or any important knowtices it will pop out when you log in to blackboard.

good luck
